Scratch Creations -- -- Playing with Scratch

2:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Keene Public Library
Kay Fox Room

Event Details

If you are 8 to 13 years old, sign up and learn Scratch, the computer programming language Python, and is totally free and easy to use. We will have five classes, each one about a different part of the program. Each session is independent of the others, so you can take any or all of them. These are hands-on classes, so class size is limited.

Scratch was developed by the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab, with financial support from the National Science Foundation, Microsoft, Intel Foundation, MacArthur Foundation, Google, Iomega and MIT Media Lab research consortia.

As young people create and share Scratch projects, they learn important mathematical and computational ideas, while also learning to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively.
